As a soaper, I tend to have about 5 or more bars of soap in my shower and a few by my sink at any given time. Traditional soap dishes have them getting stuck to each other, laying on their sides taking up space, getting mushy on multiple sides, etc. When I started pottery last year, this was one of the first designs in my head that just had to be brought to fruition. Our SoapFolios have two slots for soaps, a soap and a sponge or soap bag, a soap and a scrubby, or any other combination you can think of. These are approximately 4"x 4" and have ceramic feet that help angle the dish for drainage and sit very well in most shower niches or next to a sink.
